2026–27 Training Calendar
NYEHA runs Monday through Friday, September 2026 through June 2027, aligned to the Saratoga Central Catholic academic calendar.
Daily Structure
All times are Eastern Time.
7:00–7:45 AM
Ice open every program day. No scheduled drills. A coach is present for individual skill work by request.
7:45–9:00 AM
The core block. Each day is either on ice or in the gym — never both on the same day.
9:00–9:15 AM
Shower, change, and prepare for the academic day. Bus departs for Saratoga Central Catholic at 9:15 AM.
Ice or gym — never both
The focused block is a single 75-minute session per day. Athletes either skate or train off ice — never both on the same day.
Two off-ice days built in weekly
Two days each week are dedicated full off-ice training days, planned in advance across the season calendar.
Off-ice days are never back-to-back
Off-ice days are intentionally spaced to maintain rhythm and avoid monotony.
No off-ice sessions on Fridays
Fridays are always on-ice — flow, small-area games, and player choice — with the understanding that many Fridays are game or travel days.

The complete month-by-month training calendar for the 2026–27 season, including school holidays, session types, and coaching assignments for every program day.
Bus departs Capital Ice Arena for Saratoga Central Catholic at 9:15 AM daily. At 2:30 PM, athletes bus back to the rink, arriving around 3:00 PM. Families may also pick up directly at SCC at 2:30 PM. No strict rink pickup deadline.
All NYEHA athletes compete on AAA or club teams on evenings and weekends. The academy day ends with the school day, keeping afternoons and evenings free. The schedule is built around this reality.
NYEHA runs concurrent with the Saratoga Central Catholic school calendar. When SCC is not in session, NYEHA is not in session. The full calendar PDF above shows all holidays and breaks.
NYEHA does not currently operate a formal housing program. Players who need a billet or a place to stay during the week should contact Ryan Waltman directly — there’s a good chance a program family can help.
