Our Mission

Human First. Hockey Second.

At NY Elite Hockey Academy, we build people of character who happen to be outstanding hockey players — not the other way around.

Program Philosophy

Develop the human being first, the hockey player second — with a long-term outlook that most programs simply don’t have.

— NYEHA Program Philosophy

The 5–10 Year Mindset

Decisions made today should serve the athlete’s growth over the long arc of their career, not just the next tournament. We resist the short-term results trap that leads programs — and athletes — astray.

Intentional Rest Is Development

We do not believe in 12-month, never-stop hockey. Intentional rest periods are built into the program calendar. Protecting the love for the game is part of our long-term model.

Skill-Based, Not Age-Based

On-ice groupings are determined by development level, not birth year. Athletes train with peers who challenge them at the right level — groups are re-evaluated regularly throughout the season.

Complement, Don’t Conflict

All NYEHA athletes compete on AAA or club teams — evenings and weekends. We design our schedule deliberately around this, ending the academy day with the school day to keep evenings free.

Our Partners

In-Person Option

Saratoga Central Catholic School

NYEHA’s primary academic partner. Athletes attend in-person classes with real teachers and real classrooms. We chose SCC because we believe academics deserve the same rigor as hockey development.

Online Option — $3,175/year

Edmentum

Fully accredited online coursework with accessible teachers for every class. Students may bring a computer and work at the rink during school hours. Ideal for families who need maximum scheduling flexibility.

Capital Ice Arena — Clifton Park, NY

Our home ice and program hub. Daily focused session 7:45–9:00 AM, with optional open ice from 7:00–7:45 AM. Athletes bus to SCC from here at 9:15 AM; rink pickup available from 3:00 PM.

All times are Eastern Time.
